AL Says:
- What is your favorite genre? I don’t have one because it depends on the story. I can love a book that’s a romance or one that’s a thriller/mystery. Anything with drama in it is a favorite if I had to pinpoint.
- What time of day do you do most of your writing? I write whenever. There’s no specific time of day I spend writing, it’s just when I can or if I have a lot of time.
- Heros or villains? Both are important as both make the other.
- Does writing exhaust or energize you? Both!
- What is the first book that made you cry? Probably when I read Snow White as a kid. She was only a child, an innocent teenager who literally died because her stepmother was jealous of her. In the original tale, Snow White ‘died’ [spoiler alert] a few times too throughout the story which is twisted. There still was a happy ever after though, and watching the Disney film at the end was heartbreaking too.
- What are your favorite book covers (aside from your own)? One of my favorites is ‘The Love Hypothesis’ by Ali Hazelwood. It’s so cute and colorful and captures everything about the book from the characters to the setting.
- What’s your experience with writer’s block? I have gotten it, still get it, and know that it is a massive pain to deal with. But it doesn’t last forever.
- Which do you drink more while writing? Coffee or tea? It depends on my mood and where I am while writing.
- What was your favorite book as a child? I remember one of my favorites was ‘If You Give A Mouse A Cookie” by Laura Numeroff.
- Happy or sad endings? Why not both?
